Who here works out? Any tips on how to maximize a good workout? And does any body use protein shakes or anything like that? Do you find they work at all/well? _________________ Back Into Hiding...

I exercise everyday except Fridays I usually take a break. Interval workouts are really good especially when you use weights with them. 30-45 a day five times a week is the best way to do it. Protein shakes really don't work and a lot of them have lots of sugar or calories. Just drink water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. That'll give you energy and it's better for you than protein shakes. _________________

Even when trying to gain muscle and weight? I probably couldn't do five days a week at this point lol. Maybe with ice packs or if I cut back on how much weight I do at once. _________________ Back Into Hiding...

I bet if you choose the right kind of protein shake it would be okay. But they taste nasty. _________________

I actually found one that tastes half-decent. Yet to see many results with it though _________________ Back Into Hiding...

my step-dad uses them.
he has one that tastes nice, and one that tastes absolutely foul!
but apparently they work... _________________ Say my name, and his in the same breath, I
Dare you to say they taste the same,
Let the leaves fall off in the summer
And let December glow in flames
Brace myself and let go,
Start it over again in Mexico
These friends, they don't love you
They just love the hotel suites, now
I don't care what you think
'Cuz as long as it's about me
The best of us can find happiness
In misery
Oh, take a chance, let your body get a tolerance,
I'm not a chance, but a heat wave in your pants
Pull a breath like another cigarette,
Pawn Shop, I'm trading up (trading up)
I'm the oracle in my chest,
Let the guitar scream like a fascist,
Sweat it out, shut your mouth,
Free love on the streets, but
In the alley and I ain't that cheap, now |

Don't bother with the shakes. What's so wrong about just lifting weights? Every few weeks or whenever you feel ready, just go up a few notches. Lift a bit more. _________________

Drink a lot of water, and just try to incorporate healthier alternatives into your daily life: take the stairs, walk to places, walk the dog, etc. I walk to the gym .. sucks because it's more time-consuming to walk than drive, but it's worth the exercise.
Also, I've been using the Wii Fit whenever I feel too lazy to go to the gym. Not a bad default, but I wouldn't fully rely on it. |

Hey thanks for reviving this.
On the wiifit thing I know exactly what you mean. My workout used to consist solely of DDE. You can really work up a sweat playing that game.
It's even worse rollerblading from the gym when it's all up-hill and you discover your blades aren't working XD. _________________ Back Into Hiding...
