"She can't stay here!' my grandpa yelled at my grandma.

I was in my room and could hear them through the door.

"Where else can she go? She needs help."

"She is way too much trouble. We should just send her back to her mom."

They were talking about me like I was a puppy or something.

"We can't do that. Jerry, you know you lover her no matter whats he does. She just has to learn. She's still a teenager. Remember how much trouble you used to get into?"

"Yeah but one more thing and she is gone."

My grandpa always did get mad at the stupidest things.

"Katie!" my grandma yelled to me.

I went down the stairs to find Gabe at the bottom talking to my grandma.

"Hey what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Came to talk."

"Well let's go to my room."

"So what's up?" I asked as we sat on my bed.

"Nothing. Just seeing how you're doing. I just thought you'd be killed in jail."

"Haha very funny. But I survived. Thankfully."

"That's good to hear. So that night was pretty exciting."

"yeah it was but don't you think it's weird how I'm the only one that got caught?"

"Not really. Cuz you know that...wait never mind."

"No what?"

"nothing. So how bout those Yankees."

"Don't go changing the subject. Gabe you better fucking tell me."

"I can't I promised."

I went over and bent back his thumb to make him talk.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!"

"Are you going to tell me?"

"OK.. OK. Brendon called the cops to get you in trouble."

"He what!" I yelled as I let go of his thumb.

"He called the cops on you because he was pissed that you slept with me."

"That little b**ch is going down!" I yelled.

I grabbed my whiffle ball bat and started running toward the door. Until Gabe grabbed me.

"No, No you can't tell him. He would kill me."

"Not if I kill him first."

"Katie. Put the bat down. Do you want to go back to jail for battery?"

"That's fucking bullshit and you know it."

"I'm sorry. I promised I wouldn't tell you."

"Whatever. I'm going to get him back though."

"What are you going to do to him?"

"I don't know yet."

"Don't do anything to bad to him."

"Why not he deserves it. That fucking pansy."

"But do you really want to stoop down to his level?"

"Yeah wait I got it!"

"What?"

"Have you ever seen the movie Dazed and Confused?"

"Yeah."

"Well you know the part where the guy throws the bowling ball out the window and it hits the car?"

"Yeah are you seriously gonna do that?"

"Yeah I've always wanted to. So are you with me?"

"I guess."

Me and Gabe waited till later that night to do our little plan. My grandpa had an old bowling ball in the basement, so it was perfect. I wanted to look the part so I put on all black. I even had the black streaks under my eyes. Gabe wouldn't do that cuz he's not cool enough. We decided to escape out my bedroom window so we could be more discreet about it.

"OK are you ready?" I asked as we were hunched in the bushes.

"Yeah."

We made our way toward the car. Gabe stayed a little behind me since I was the one throwing the it. I slowly crept toward the car, took a deep breath...


"Hurry throw it already," Gabe said.

I heaved it and it hit the windshield perfectly. One second later, the Urie's lights came on.

lol I don't have anymore right now. i did start on the chapter but I'm going to work on it tonight and post it tomorrow. I'm watching saw 3 tonight! I'll prolly get freaked out and can't sleep.

"Run! Run! Run!" Gabe yelled.

Me and him ran as fast as we could and jumped into the bush. I saw Brendon open the house door and run to his car.

"No! My baby. Did the bad people hurt you," he said rubbing his car.

"Who the hell did this? I know you're around here!"

"Haha this is hilarious," Gabe whispered.

"I know!"

"If you don't come out I will call the cops."

I couldn't quit laughing until Gabe's phone started ringing.

"Shit!" Gabe said.

"Hurry turn it off," I said.

Gabe finally got his phone turned off, but it was too late.

"Who's there?" Brendon said.

"I'll beat the shit out of you," he said as he picked up a stick and started walking toward us.

"f**k. Be quiet," I whispered.

"Follow me," Gabe whispered.

Me and Gabe slowly crept toward the bushes to the backyard.

"You know I can hear you right?" Brendon said.

I looked out of the bushes for a second, when I saw Brendon start to pull back part of the
bushes. My heart was racing and I was scared that he would find us.

"I got you," Brendon said as he puled it back to reveal that nothing was there.

We finally made it to the last bush and army crawled to the back door.

"Yay we made it," I said hugging Gabe.

"Yeah cause we're just good like that."

He put his arm around my waist and stared into my eyes. He gently pressed his lips against mine. I was really starting to fall for this guy.

"Get out of here Jews!" my grandpa said as he came running down the stairs in his robe.

"USA! USA! USA!" he yelled as he ran into the living room.

"Jerry get back here," my grandma yelled chasing him.

"Uh what was that about?" Gabe asked.

"Oh sometimes my grandpa thinks he's in the war."

"O-K well I better go before your grandpa tries to kill me/"

"Haha alright bye."

"Bye," he said before giving me one last kiss.



I woke up the next morning and heard people talking downstairs. I walked down the stairs and saw my grandparents talking to the Urie's.

"I don't know who would do such a thing," my grandma said.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Some idiot punk threw a bowling ball at Brendon's car," my grandma said.

"Who would do that?" I asked,

"I swear I've seen that bowling ball before," my grandpa said.

"Oh Grandpa you're losing it," I said.

"I don't know who did it, but they must really hate me," Brendon said eye balling me.

"Well thanks but we better go," Mrs. Urie said.

"Alright bye."

"Katie will you go get the mail?" my grandpa asked.

"Sure."

I started walking to the mailbox, but Brendon got in my way.

"I know it was you," he said.

"What are you talking about?"

"Don' play dumb with me. I know it was you who threw the bowling ball."

"No I didn't."

"Shut up I know you did it so quit lying."

"I'm not lying. Why would I do that?"

"Cuz you're pissed at me. God why did you have to come here to Vegas anyway? You're just a pain in my ass. Why don't you just go back to Connersville. Nobody would miss you cuz nobody even likes you."

"You wanna know the truth? The reason why I'm here is because I used to have a drinking and drug problem and then i got in trouble for the thing at school. My parents sent me here to get me away from my problems and maybe get better. So there are you happy you finally know the truth about me! What? Aren't you going to start going off on me about it?" I said crying

Before he could answer, I ran back inside and ran straight to my room. I grabbed my suitcase and started throwing everything into it. After I had my important things in there, I fell asleep dreaming of Brendon.

I woke up at 10 that night from my alarm clock. I grabbed my phone and my ipod from my desk and put it in my pocket. I grabbed my suitcase and turned off my light. I threw my suitcase our my window with me following behind. I had to walk 2 miles to get to my destination. I was kind of scared to walk alone in Vegas at night because of what happened last time. As I approached the building, I read the sign. "Las Vegas Bus Station." Yelp, this is the place. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

"Hi I would like to purchase one ticket to Indianapolis," I said to the lady at the desk.

"$620 please," she said as I handed her the money.

"Thank you have a nice trip."

My bus didn't leave till 2:00 am so I had 3 hours to kill. There was only one seat open and unfortunately it was by this hobo sitting on the ground. I wonder if that's what my grandpa used to look like? I sat down and didn't make eye contact with anybody. I was kind of scared since this was in a bad neighborhood. Connersville doesn't really have a ghetto. The hobo keeps coughing and it's really grossing me out. I feel bad for him though.

"Hello," I said to him.

"Hi," he said showing me that he had no teeth.

He was dressed in rags and had very scruffy hair.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Shorty."

"HI Shorty I'm Katie. So do you want to go get something to eat with me?"

"Sure."

I felt so bad because he probably hasn't had anything to eat in a while. I was kind of surprised he agreed so soon.

"Do you like thai food?" I asked as we left the station.

"I eat everything."

"OK then let's go in here," I said pointing to a Thai restaurant.

We went inside and got seated, but everybody kept staring at us. What haven't they seen a hobo before?

"So do you work?" I asked.

"No not anymore. I hurt my knee,"

"Oh I see."

"Do you work?"

"Yeah I work at Burger King in Indiana."

"Then what are you doing here?"

So I told Shorty everything, even my addiction. It's weird how I could tell him about my drug problems but couldn't tell Brendon.

"You shouldn't runaway from your problems. It never solves anything."

"I know but I don't like it here. My best friend from here hates me and my grandparents don't even want me here. Plus I miss my home too much."

"Things happen for a reason. I'm not telling you to stay but to just think about it."

Many egg rolls later and me and Shorty were back at the station. Luckily nobody took our spots. I only had to wait 2 more hours, so I decided to put my headphones on. I guess I fell asleep cuz the next thing I knew, somebody was shaking me.

"Katie wake up."

"Huh?" I said as I realized who it was.

"Brendon? What are you doing here?"

"I knew you'd be here. Katie. I'm sorry. I had no idea what was going on with you. I was a jerk and I'm really sorry."

"Yeah I'm sorry too. I should have told you sooner."

"So do you want to go home?"

"Yeah let's go."

"Bye Shorty," I said as we were leaving.

"Bye thanks for everything."

"Who's Shorty?" Brendon asked.

"Just a friend?" I said smiling.

I woke up the next morning in my bed with a pair of arms around me.

"Brendon, wake up," I said.

"Hmmm 5 more minutes."

"Wait what am I doing here?" he said.

"I guess we fell asleep."

"Oh well I better go. Later."

"See ya."

I went downstairs to find my grandma cooking breakfast.

"Morning," she said.

"Morning," I said as I grabbed a piece of toast.

I guess they didn't know about last night because they didn't mention it. Thank god cuz they probably would make me leave. I heard the doorbell and decided to answer it.

"Hey," I said to Gabe.

"Hey can I come in?"

"Yeah."

"so what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was in the neighborhood and decided to drop by."

"Oh OK."

"Yeah, so has Brendon mentioned anything about the whole bowling ball thing?"

"No, but I think he knows it knows I did it."

"Ha ha. I still can't believe you did that."

"Yeah I know."

"Well the reason why I came here was to ask you something."

"OK shoot."

I had no clue what he was going to ask. He was fidgeting a lot.

Um well would you like to go out with me sometime?" he asked looking at his shoes.

"Yeah that would be cool."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Well OK then. How about tonight?"

"OK."

"Cool so I'll pick you up at 6:00?"

"Yeah see you then."

"Bye."

After he left I could not stop smiling.

"What wrong with you?" my grandpa asked coming down the stairs.

"Oh nothing," I said giggling.

"I think you've been getting too much sun."

"Yeah maybe you're right. I'm going to my room."

"Damn hooligan."

I looked out my bedroom window and could see right into Brendon's room. Ew him and Amber were making out on his bed. That's a site to see. I closed my blind cuz I did not want to see that. I decided to go ahead and pick out an outfit for tonight. Should I dress fancy or casual or semi-casual? I finally decided on jeans and a black tank top. But by the time I picked it out all of my clothes were on the floor.

I got bored and decided to go on the panic boards. I always go on there cuz it's pretty funny to see the rumors they start.

I clicked on a post that said "Bdens new gf?" Probably a picture of Amber. But it wasn't. It was a picture of me and Brendon. I started cracking up. I can't believe they think I'm dating Brendon. Some people were really mean. People were calling me a slut. What the hell they don't even know me. Whatever. But great now I'll have to carry around pepper spray in case the boardies try to attack me.

I was so wrapped up in the boards, I forgot about my date. I only had 30 minutes to get ready. I quickly ran tot he shower and stripped off my clothes and got in. After I got my shower, I got dressed, straightened my hair, and did my make up. I had just finished putting on my eyeliner when the door bell rang.

"I'll get it," I yelled running down the stairs.

I opened up the door, but didn't expect to see him.

"Brendon? What are you doing here?"

"Just bored and seeing what you were doing. Why did I catch you at a bad time?"

"Oh well sorta. I'm about to go on a date."

"Really? With who?"

'Gabe," I said smiling.

"Oh that's cool well I better go then."

"Yeah see ya."

As he walked back over to his house, Gabe pulled up.

"Bye guys. I'm leaving," I yelled.

"Wait hold your horses. I need to meet this here boy before you leave," my grandpa said.

"But Grandpa."

"No buts."

"Fine."

I waved Gabe to come in and my grandpa walked off to the living room.

"Hey ready to go?" he asked.

"My Grandpa said he has to meet you before we leave."

"Oh OK."

As we walked into the living room, I saw my grandpa sitting on the couch with his rifle. This can't be good.





I updated again. Yay! So yeah this chapter is just a filler. It's not that great I know but I have another update which I'll probably post today or tomorrow and it tells a secret about Katie's past.
