Has anyone read the Pendragon series by DJ Machale? I recently picked up books 7,8, and 9. I love the story but I could do with a little less Mark and Courtney. Their parts sort of slow the book down. Hopefully they atleast become a little more useful in these next three books.

That comment wasn't an attack on you, just the books. I don't like the style of writing at all, and I just didn't find it interesting.

I know. I do agree with you somewhat on the style of writing. I don't always like how he uses Bobby's letters to convey the most important parts of the story.

When did you first read Pendragon? I started years ago and just got so absorbed in the story I just have to finish it.

Tried it in grade seven or eight. At that time I wasn't exactly picky with what I read either. But it's hard to read books when you just don't take to the main character. I just didn't like Bobby. And I seriously couldn't take him seriously with a name like that. It's too childish.
And I can't stand reading books with letters or diaries in them. You know the famous awarding winning "every person has or needs to read this" Diary of Anne Frank? Couldn't get past the first few chapters. I didn't like reading it. I dropped it and have hoped that I'd never ever have to read it in school. =P

Wasn't 'Pendragon' the last name of one of Arthur's knights of the round table? It's are really old and famous name. I wouldn't feel bad about having it.

^ Agreed. It sounds so immature. Maybe that is what Machale was going and his name was a sort of representation of his character. XD Most likely not though!

I don't know. Pendragon is a name used quite a bit. I wouldn't say it's that unusual.
