Art Of The Week

Hello everyone and welcome to 'Art Of The Week'!

Basically what this is, is that every week there will be a topic posted and anyone who wants to participate submits a piece of art related to that topic. Your art will be put in a poll to decide the winner. The winner will get to choose the next week's topic (if there is any better prize you can think up within reasonable limits, let me know).

Art includes:
-graphics (signatures, 3-D work, etc.)
-traditional art (drawing, sketching, painting, photography, etc.)
-craft (woodworking, metal work, abstract, mixed media, etc.)
-writing (short stories, poetry, script, etc.)

Guidelines:
ALL WORKS MUST BE TITLED and the artist name must be given (this can either be by username or by first name only. No last names, please.)

-Graphics must be under 600 by 400 pixels (an exception will be made for wallpapers, but you must state that it is a wallpaper/desktop being submitted). Stating what program was used is appreciated.

-Traditional Art must be scanned or photographed with either the link to the image given, or the image being posted. (Resizing is very much appreciated and strongly suggested. If you need help resizing, please feel free to PM me.)

-Craft same guidelines apply as Traditional Art.

-Writing must be under 800 words. 800 is the maximum. Don't deter people from voting for it by making it too long for them to read.

So, without further ado, this week's topic is MUSIC. If you have any questions, please post them here. If you have a submission, please post it in the submission topic.

[Just a note: if there are not enough participants this week, I will postpone the deadline until next week. I know it's summer holidays for many people and there isn't a lot of time and a few people might be away.]

By proof, you mean proof that it's your original work?
I will say no for now. I am going with the honesty policy here, people, so no plagiarizing!
If I become skeptical as to whether or not it's your work, I will change this.
But trust me, no one needs to steal other work. There's enough talent here as is.

I have a question. If its a collage of pictures, is it considered plagarizing if you get them from google? Of course im going to add things to it, but with the pics and all...

No. I wouldn't say so. A lot of people use images from google with graphics as well.
So, I'd say google is alright.

Yes. As long as you are not just taking a picture that is slightly altered off of google and saying it's your own.
