What is your favourite movie of all time? Do you have a few? (List them =]) Why do you like it/them so much?
I think we need a good movie topic, so here goes.

I've got quite a few favourites, but here are a few for now.
-The Nightmare Before Christmas because I think claymation is awesome, Danny Elfman is a genius, and it is one of the most original movies I have ever seen.
-Interview With The Vampire is a recent favourite. I doubted Tom Cruise at first when I saw him in the trailers, but I must say, he plays an amazing Lestat. It's a great vampire movie and it gives a new outlook on the reality of immortality.
-Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the original with Gene Wilder) I think is not exactly according to the book, but I think the differences make it a better film overall. Very well done, and Gene Wilder is and will always be the best Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp just doesn't cut it).
-Pulp Fiction, a Tarantino classic. I know, I didn't expect it to be great, but it seems my brother has me hooked. It's interesting how it all pieces itself together at the end.
-The Phantom of the Opera is one of the best movie musicals I have ever seen. The music was the best part (as musicals often are). And Gerard Butler plays an outstanding Phantom.
-Fight Club (I know, I'm not supposed to TALK ABOUT IT, but whatever). Fantastic movie! Absolutely amazing. Best movie adaptation of a book I have ever, ever seen. Perfect characterization.

That's all for now. More to come. Let's see if this topic takes off.

If I had to I don't think I could choose.

I really liked The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Tons of fun watching my friend who is quite 'conservative' freak out. Even more fun throwing toast at random people though.

I agree with you Tasha, Fight Club, is definitely one of my favs. Great book and movie. Can't decide which I liked better.

RENT was really good. I love the music.

Well i just recently saw 'Get Smart' and it's much more than the promos. It's not like they show all the good bits in the promos, there are way more.

The Longest Yard - I don't know, i just love it! <3

The Princess Diaries -

Pirates of the Caribean 1 - i think the first is always the best. the others are crap (sorry to all the pirates fans, but it's true!)

well i can't really think of anything else... damn. i'm sure there is something else...

Wall-e is the best Disney/Pixar movie to date. It's more outstanding than Toy Story when it first came out. It is absolutely phenomenal. This movie just proves how little words actually mean in a film. Absolutely amazing. So touching too! It nearly had me crying. Quite the life lesson in it too. I was impressed.

I can't believe I haven't added The Dark Knight here yet. I think it's because no one else posted here.
The Dark Knight is an amazing movie. Dark, funny, action packed. It's everything in one solid film. Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was brilliant. A movie I'm definitely getting on DVD when it comes out. It was great. Just fantastic. The clapping scene is my favourite. I think it's because of the Joker's expression. It's perfect. I love it.
