Isn't that game really violent, though? I heard you can rape and murder people. If kids play a game like that it makes it so much easier to really do those things. Kind of like a study where one group of people were told to look at a stuffed pink elephant and the other group were told to imagine a stuffed pink elephant. Both groups had the same brain function because the brain doesn't know the difference between what's real and fake.

It's not ridiculously violent. I think as long as you don't actually do the things you do on the game, it should be fine. And there's also age restrictions (I do believe GTAIV is M18?) but some kids get their parents/older siblings/etc to buy it for them.
And even with the age restrictions, not all places bother to ask for an ID. I went to HMV yesterday and bought two DVD's (one was NC16, the other was M18) and they didn't even hesitate to scan them.
