Another poem I did.

Love

She wrote the word 'LOVE'
like it meant everything in the world to her.
One word:
LOVE

Heard by many, listened by few
and far between.
Mean glances, distrusting faces
Going places,

places she could never go.
They walked by through unseen fingertips.
It wasn’t just the looks, the stride,
the strive as they passed her.

It was the passion to go out
and take life as it was.

Her chance wasn’t there for the taking.
It was dancing just out of
reach.

Too far upwards,
all she wanted was to go inside herself.
All this was too much, too high―
over the clouds and under the mountain.

Sighing while resting her palms under woolen sleeves,
covering her eyes.
Screaming.
Why is she screaming now?

How it changed so fast.
Back from the past,
she was there in the corner again
clasping fingers over her eyes.

They were spies,
watching her, flying above.
Doves so impure as to scribble hate―
'HATE' over her words.

Uncaring of her failed attempts,
condemning her for even trying.
Words,
they thought meant nothing.

And so she was a ghost,
destined to drift under their feet.

No longer an emotion or expression or impression,
now a digression from reality.
When thoughts meant more to her than the acceptance
that anyone else could have given her.

Shunned into black space
for being no more than the creep
they called her.
Names.

A label among many,
without the introduction.
Shaking hands, but not someone else's.
'Greetings, self’, she would have thought,

had her thoughts not been blocked by slanted words
and narrowed eyes.
Scratching into paper,
the last thing to save her.

Taken,
forsaken of meaning.
A last resort, words made meaningless.
The book hidden in hands covered by wool.

Her eyes were unveiled,
discovering more and more as others
understood less and
less of the person she was.

And she wrote the word 'LOVE'
like it meant everything in the world to her.

Yeah. This is the one I didn't present, but I think I like it better.

I thought you liked the other one better. You couldn't come up with a theme/meaning for this one right? Or was that the other? Whatever. Do you have one now?

I was kinda vague as to themes...I don't like themes. I'm just kidding, I just don't like trying to put a meaning to a piece I kind of jotted down really quick. It doesn't work. I just wrote interesting words down in the beginning...how can that have a theme?
