ANOTHER INCIDENT AT THE READING FESTIVAL!

A member of Panic! At The Disco was bottled for a second year running on the main stage at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival today (August 25).

Last year frontman Brendon Urie was briefly knocked out seconds into the band’s first song on the main stage by a bottle thrown from the crowd.

This time, the band took the stage to an ineffectual barrage of bottles none of which threatened the singer as they opened with
‘The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage’.

“Alright, this is going better than last year,” joked guitarist Ryan Ross. “We made it through the first one.”

However he spoke a little too soon.

During ‘Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes’ - which Urie introduced telling the crowd: “So this one is a little sexier, so if you guys are horny this one is about fucking!” - bassist Jon Walker was hit in the head by a bottle.

Seemingly unbothered by the blow his singer consoled him afterwards “I know how you feel”, although the bassist laughed it saying “I didn’t get knocked out, I got off lightly.”

The band then followed this with the first of two new songs that were so fresh, the group confirmed to NME.COM they hadn’t even sorted the titles out yet.

The first new song they played had the working title ‘Nine In The Afternoon’ and sounded more jaunty and piano led then their beat-enhanced earlier tracks.

After crowd favorites ‘But It’s Better If You Do’ and ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’, the band then covered The Band’s track ‘The Weight’.

Holy crap!!! Why are they pelting them with bottles?!?!?!?!?! This is terrible! I feel really bad for Jon- but at least it wasn't serious, right? It'd be bad if he got knocked out or needed stitches or something. Sad

It's not reading without a bottle to someone's head, it's just unlucky that panic got struck twice in a row. They probably knew it was coming.

^ ^ I agree. All these bands get hit in the heads with bottles. It happened to Gerard Way too. Sheesh, they should ban bottles from the crowd.

and yea that festival is known for bottles being thrown so its no surprise that it happened again
and i thought it was "night in the afternoon" also, ive seen it on a lyrics site and i guess they changed it and got a title for the song which was known as "Back To The Streets" before
and i cant wait for the new album!! so excited Very Happy

Even if it gets banned and the people get arrested, it wont stop it from happening.

That's true. All bands said that the thing they weren't looking forward to was the bottling. Fall Out Boy said they trained so that they could dodge them lol. But they said not to hit Patrick cos he doesn't move and he can't cos he can't hold the microphone cos he plays the guitar too.
