Here's a sig of Jacob Hoggard, the lead singer of Hedley. Feedback is appreciated on this sig, and the one above. I'm thinking of changing up my style but I need constructive criticism to think of what I'd like to do.

Suggestions with the first, um, there's not much to suggest! Maybe put the name in a place where the colours don't mingle with the background so much.
And the second, maybe put Jacob to one side instead of the middle? I'm not sure. There's not anything to really fix with that one.
I like them both! What kind of suggestions on style are you looking for?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I've been wanting to make my sigs better. People on other sites really have been hating on my sigs, and I kind of want to change up my style a bit.

For example,

Those people are jerks. Sheesh. Yours are some of the best sigs I've seen around, so I don't know what they're talking about. Either they're some MEGA-GRAPHIC-OBSESSING-FREAK or they can't do any better and wont admit it.

And you've been making graphics for how long? Yours are amazing. And you learned so fast! Those people know nothing.
When I honestly say I don't know how to make them better, I'm serious. They look really really good. I wouldn't say there's anything to change.
(And about the Jacob one, maybe they're just hating on him or his band. There's some people that hate a sig immediately if they hate the band. I've had that with some of my Simple Plan sigs before. If they're like that, don't listen to them. Or if you're asking for feedback, specify that you don't want judgment on the subject of the sig, but on how it was created. If they keep being rude after that, ignore them. They're just being immature.)

Can I ask what site this is that is giving such terrible advice?

And the site is smosh.com. You may have heard of Smosh as a famous pair of youtube comedians who make short videos and post them on there. They have a site, and I go on the forums sometimes. Yeah, most people on there are jerks, but there are some pretty nice people, so I stick around for them.

I think the outlines are cool and the shading in the face is really well done. Maybe do a bit more shading in the hair, so you can see some of the strands.

I've got a suggestion for you. One that will help a lot (mostly on the smosh forums, I think).
I saw your signature of the week posting and you got slammed completely. That person is probably just a jerk, but you can avoid it with one simple thing
BE PROUD OF YOUR WORK.
It's as simple as that. If you are down about your own work, people will take it into their hands to criticize you further. This is rude and unnecessary.
Your signatures are not bad, not horrible, and not the work of some no0b. You are not working as a first timer on a Paint program. (I'm not putting down Paint, but in the hands of someone who doesn't know how to use it, it just doesn't work for them)
Your signatures are really great. I'm not just saying that because some of them have Panic in them and I know you from this forum. They are actually REALLY great. I don't want you for a second to think any different.
So, next time you post, the best thing to do would be to remain neutral. "This is my submission" or "I finished this at this time". Something like that. If you are proud of it, say so!
But don't ever- ever! Put down your art. Negative comments will fly at you. And it wont be because of your work.

I don't know if this helps. I know you don't listen to the negativity. But I just want to give a suggestion to stop it before it comes.

Meh. I wasn't too surprised. Most people are nice at heart but flame other's because it's what that forum society is like. I was laughing more than I was confused, though.
