I Write Sins Not Trageties Video

This single was released on February 27, 2006 on both compact disc and 7 inch vinyl under the fueledbyramen label. The song was written by Ryan Ross.

"I Write Sins Not Trageties" is the second single from the band's debut album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" and the first single to be made into a music video.

The song (and the video too) is about a strange, gothic circus themed wedding, where the groom (Daniel Isaac - for those of you who want tho know) is marrying a "inapropriate" woman - actualy she is a whore. Just in time Brendon Urie, who heard the loving words from the altar, bursts into the church, surrounded by the whole vaudeville circus, and stops the ceremony. The woman runs out, and is followed by one of her guests.

The circus goes on, so does the obsessively repeated rhime: "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door?!" till the groom is forced to exit the church by Urie and finds his bride kissing with the person that followed her.

The meaning of "I Write Sins Not Trageties"? Only the boys from P!ATD may know, but it seems that Urie is the groom's conscience stopping him to make a mistake.
